i had a silly thought today… i feel that teaching is a really good job…. coz… i cld manipulate the children’s minds when they are at a young age… yay!!! you noe what i want them to know?? i want them to take care of our earth… the environment we are living in…. sounds stupid.. but i really think tt we shld save our earth…

there’s this advert. which i see in newspapers and at bus-stops… getting pple to switch off the lights when not using… and how a small action cld mk a difference to the enviroment… the advert. not only sends the msg BUT explains WHY we shld do so… eg: cut down on carbon dioxide…

Did you….
1) switch off the lights/heater/router/modem/hp charger/ laptop charger when you are done using it?
2) reduce the amt of plastic bags you used this week?
3) ensure tt the tuna you eat is Dolphin-friendly?
4) use both sides of your paper?

well… it’s the time when all of us wld be studying and preparing for exams… dunno y… i dun really have the mood to start studying…. man… juz kill me.. coz my exams are like next monday and wed… they are both maths papers… nah.. they are not as difficult as calculus…. but still…. not much mood to study…

some times i wish i am doing some things tt i really really like.. and tt i feel extremely passionate about…. haha…

i wanna be rich as well….

i wanna see the goodness in someone and love someone unconditionally… then i realised tt i juz can’t.. coz i dun even see the goodness in myself…

nah…. i still see the flaws….

i tried so hard and got so far… in the end it doesn’t really matter…

was also thinking of short hair.. BUT the cost of keeping it is really high… coz… me have v messy and curly hair when it’s short :sad1

it’s our 55months together.. :grin1 coincidentally it falls on a day when i’ve got no school… and BH took 1 day leave for us!!! :wink1

then we went on for the part2 of the Sinagpore Biennale Badge hunt! these are some of the places we visited today:

btw… Miracle is the site where u see the raining tree!!! BUT the tree still isn’t raining today… sooooooo i called the Biennale hotline and asked them ‘is there a schedule for it to rain??’ well… seems like there isn’t… if u r lucky… u’ll catch the miracle… we r not lucky enuff… :pout1

above all, Tanglin Camp is a must go!!! we enjoyed ourselves thorougly…. let me show you why… kekeke…

overall, we had a great day!! love such excursions… though we paid for entrance, we didn’t get all the badges.. :mad1 haiz…. wish we started this Biennale craze earlier….

i feel tt i’m a lousy teacher… like no matter how much effort i put it… how i try to explain my heart, lungs, brains out, some students juz still dun understand… man… pathetic… like how some kids are still scoring band3 when i thot the whole class shld be band1 and 2…sad case… damn bad right…but i did my best :err1 at least no1 scored band4..

so… it was the last tuition lesson yesterday…i had some kids who asked me what class am i teaching next yr… they wanna come to my class… i was like :blush1.. i thot i was lousy you noe!!! i also have this parent who asked me the same qn!!! wah…. for once… i felt better… :smile1

now… i dunno if i shld take up tuition next yr…. or is individual tuition better? :blank1 do i need the money???

and i guess BH is right in some way… teaching is a year-long project…. the greatest satisfaction only happens at the end of the yr….. :smile1

Bh and i went for the Singapore Biennale yesterday! haha… we had fun… juz tt i was having a bad headache :pout1 could be due to the weather i guess…

hmm… we walked alot yesterday… our 1st stop was SMU.. where we collected the badge hunt scarf

yup… with this scraf, you cld collect the badges from different sites… then pin it up!!! it’s like treasure hunt!!! :grin1 i like it!!! the pt is when u collected all the 95 badges you’ll stand a chance to win a new Pioneer 7G Plasma TV (note: not 3G can.. it’s 7G lor!!!) hehe….

some other sites we went to include:

btw, for yesterday all the venues were free of charge!!!! BUT… most of the badges were wiped out… sad… i hope pple were more considerate and only tk 1 badge :blank1

personally, i feel that we shld at least visit one of such venues… afterall… it’s like an event which is held every 2 years… (correct me if i’m wrong)

as for now… i feel that some of the must go sites includes:
1) City Hall ( alot of exhibits there… can collect alot of badges! and take note of this artist called ‘Donna Ong’… she’s a singaporean and i feel that her works are really meaningful…)

2) Sri Krishnan Temple

3) along Singapore River (outside asian civilistaion musuem). you will see a tree which rains!!! wah!!!! nice!!! ( juz tt there’s timings for it to rain…) Bh and i didn’t manage to catch the tree raining though… we missed the timing :err1 hope to catch it another time!

4) Sulpture Square

You’ll see this:

it’s a recreation of the remains of a space shuttle which exploded a few yrs ago…. the artist is trying to bring across the message ‘is it worth it’ … well… think about it…

i guess.. the thing abt visual arts is.. you really need experience it yourself…. pictures can’t give u a good interpretation… so…. GO for the Sinagpore Biennale!!ends on 12 Nov’06!

btw… we collected 16badges in 1 day!!! wahahahaha…. looking forward to collecting all!

man… i juz realised that the Monster School actually put me on staff hold!!! which means… there is a VERY huge possibility that i am going back there again!!!! argh!!!!!!!

juz sent emails to the P and VP of my practicum school… hope they have vacancies… else…. i will go try my luck at JC :mad1

no… i m graduating may’07… BUT have to start appealing now… it’s teaching for 5 yrs… no joke !!!

i spent a day out shopping with my grandma today. we went to orchard road :beam1

we took the mrt together.. juz like how we did when i was a little girl.
the train was crowded.. juz like when i was a little girl.
someone alighted, there’s an empty seat. i signalled my grandma to take a seat… it used to be the other way round..

we walked along the familar orchard road… she used to hold my hand… now she don’t… i’m big enuff
we used to walk with the same speed.. now we don’t… i walk faster than her..

she used to treat me for lunch.. now she don’t… i treated her instead…

i didn’t realised tt my grandma was really getting old… till today… but yet… in her eyes., i’m still her little girl :smile1 glad tt we spent time together today..
