Hi everyone! I am finally back! Wahaha… our domain expired.. so BH juz got our site back a few days ago…yes… and our domain always expires right after we come back from holiday… haha… if u can rem tt fakedevil was missing 2 yrs back? It was ard this time too.. ;p

So… how’s my Taipei trip? Oh well.. generally… OK.. juz that it cld be better… yeah… the 3 of us felt this way… let’s analyse our trip on a day by day basis.

10 May 2006 (Wed)

All of us woke up bright and cheery and went to the airport!

BH thought he look good lor… This was how he looked

We checked in early and went to jalanX2 in T2.. then my sis and BH decided tt they wanted to try out the i-squeeze

After which… we walked ard and kinda forgot the time… until we realized that our flight was the ‘LAST CALL’ .. haha.. then we quickly rushed towards the gate.

Our flight was extremely empty… so empty that each of us cld help ourselves to any of the seats lor…. So in the end, we had a window seat each.

This was what we ate on the plane.

They even gave us a magnum ice-cream each!!

Finally, we touched down in Taipei at 5pm.. which was 20min earlier!

We went to look for the Freego Bus. Found the tix booth easily.. however, as our hotel was extremely new… nobody knew which station shld we stop at… so….. we took the freego bus to town… then took a cab to XiMenDing (XMD)

Right… so we are at XMD BUT we can’t find our hotel…. So.. we were like walking ard with our luggage ard XMD… so paiseh.. it’s juz like walking ard Orchard Rd in Singapore… and we were really tired… so we were quite glad tt the locals are nice to tell us where our hotel was…. And finally…. We found it… at a dark, quiet alley….haha.. though quiet, less tourists.. it was cheap and near the MRT…

Went to the hotel and we were greeted by the friendly receptionist and the lady Boss.. still nvm… we received a FREE UPGRADE to BIGGER rooms with no additional cost! Wah! How nice! I mean… my sis and I had a room with a nice little japo corner, which we cld sit down and sip tea lor…. Iyah…. How to tell u… anyway, our rooms were v spacious… BH’s single room became a room with a queen size bed lor!

Anyway, the hotel provides toothbrush, shampoo, soap and above all.. CONDOMS! Wahaha… how interesting! No lar.. the hotel was not a sleazy place… really nice and cosy… I wld recommend budget travelers to stay there… and not be bought over by more popular hotels like Stars Hotel and Rainbow Hotel.

After we put down our stuff… we went to XMD mrt and made our way to Miramar Entertainment Centre where there was a huge Ferries Wheel, which is the second biggest in Asia. Rem the Lee Hom’s – Kiss Goodbye MTV? I think it’s taken on this ferries wheel. How to tell u… everything is like Japan … coz Tokyo have got this huge ferries wheel too!

(it is v stuffy in the ferries wheel… and I dun find the view breath-taking… juz the experience…I mean if it’s not for my sis, I don’t think I will go for this..)

We went for dinner at Shilin after Miramar. Our 1st meal was this… some steamboat thing….

Not v nice… BUT we were extremely hungry… man.. and there was a truck parked outside this place… with dead PIGS hanging upside down… with blood dripping down…gross… so gross that we (my sis & I) felt like vomiting after looking at it… so disgusted tt I didn’t tk out my camera to tk a picture of it..

After which, we walked ard in Shilin NM… not much things already.. coz it was a weekday…. We took cab back to hotel…. And ended our day at 1am? Haha… tired..

this is a super packed day!

had a simple breakfast at our hotel then went to the Taipei Intercity Bus Terminal to tk a bus to Yeliu. the weather was cooling… which was bad.. coz it started to pour after that… so it was raining for the whole day!! damn sianz…

so… going to Yeliu was easy…. and Yeliu is where u go to see the rocks… oh well… i wld think that it’s the oriental 12 Apostles… haha.. it’s extremely cold there…

and along yeliu… there’s lots of fresh seafood!!

after Yeliu… we went to Keelung, where we had lunch at MiaoKuo Food street… food here was really delicious and cheap!

after which, we made our way to Jiufen… which was still raining…. sianz…

bought some local products like sour plums.. and hand-made muah chee… which we thought was very nice and it needs to be refrigerated.. the packaging looks like tt… go buy it if u go to taipei!!!

then we head off to tk a cab to Rui Fang Railway Station to tk a train back to Taipei.

if u thnk our day ended? think again… wahaha… we went to Danshui… to see the fisherman’s wharf.. where i met………

haha… we were so hungry tt we ate sucky food for dinner… no choice…. nothing else to eat…. the noodles were v oily… it was cheap lar…

after which.. we took a bus back to hotel… too tired to do anything liaoz…

actually, i feel kinda insecure bt our itinerary lor…. as in i’m not sure where exactly are we going and on what day can! argh.. it’s like my sis have been reading up… and BH is also finding out… so… who’s plan are we gonna follow???? :what:

rainy days are good days for reflection… what do you think?

well, i thnk i really didn’t know what i wanted in the past… all i knew was.. i wanted to be an air stewardess! wahaha… man… i sound so shallow… look at me now… i dun think i am of the SIA girl material…:shake:

a few days ago… BH and i went to the CBD area ( to hunt for gd xchange rate + look for taiwan tourist centre) … it was lunch time… extremely crowded…it’s been quite long since i went there.. okok that boat quay fieldtrip is exception! haha… so i think i noe what i want…. i wanna be some executive working in shenton way!

hey… serious man! imagine… walking down street.. dressed smartly in high heels, pointed shoes… carrying some prada bag… long hair… looking smart and elegant .. oh.. how can i forget my Tag heuer watch… and yet… i’m an indepndent woman who holds a high post in an MNC… i thought it wld be so cool… anyway… in my opinion, it’s not tt cool to be an independent woman NOW… u need to have kids.. have a family too!!!

so… in addition to all the above pts… i wld like to have my own family too…. so when i open up my LV special edition wallet *is that such a thing* there wld be a picture of my hubby and my so handsome and cute son, both wearing the same RED Polo Ralph tee… grining widely at me! hee

well… that’s my dream…. hopefully i’ll be driving a black 2-door RAV4…then i step out of my car… man will be looking at me like…. “wah! a pretty lady drving a fierce car!” yeah!! then i’ll probably fetch my husband from work…and collect my son from my mum’s place… :blush1

okok… my husband will be the MAN during the weekend.. he can drive our little family out… probably go kite flying? cycling? or fishing? :grin1

so i intend to go into HR… every company need HR mah… haha….

luckily, after i finish my bond.. i still have time to fulfill this dream… :smile1 not too late…

what’s so interesting is…….. BH got sooooo insecure when i told him my dream.. he’s so afraid tt i wld meet more pple… and get to know better guys… :beam1 so his recation was like NO! I can earn enough… u no need to work.. oh well… future is hard to say! :wink1 but i have to admit tt my ego is slightly booasted when he said tt.. haha

today, was the day.. i felt soooooo like a housewife… i woke up early in the morning… went to NTUC at 8.30 to buy Chicken Liver… yucks… it’s super bloody and disgusting…. picked the cheapest packet… then walked ard in the supermarket… bought my fave Cherry Tomatoes.. yummy! went to queue up together with the aunties…. haha…

went up to my house… started to mk tuna sandwiches with tomatoes… healthier this way and good for complexion.. which is what BH needed..heez… made ice…. took down my coleman water bottle… and styrofoam box ( to put the captured prawns)… packed the ice.. and the disgusting Chicken Liver… bought lots of tissue… coz fishing is a messy job….

wah…. by the time i finish doing all these, it was like 10am liaoz!!! and i was suppose to meet BH at 10.30! sooooo i quickly tried to tidy the kitchen…. mk sure i look ok…. yar.. b4 the fishing…. i am tired liaoz… now i noe how my mum feel… :blank1

rushed out of the hse…. met BH at YCK mrt… and made our way to Farmart at Chao Chu Kang…

Us, b4 the fishing trip… and BH saying good to the sandwich! i think it’s the 1st time i prepare food for BH can.. he better be touched! haha… i thnk i look aweful today… tt’s how i’ll look if i’m a hsewife man…

at farmart, we paid for the prawn rod.. which is like $26 for 3 hrs… we were extremely lucky.. coz this really nice lady gave me her rod as she needed to go fetch her kids.. so both of us had a rod each… haha… we had fun prawning.. though we didnt talk much… and my hands were bloody most of the time.. so not much pics… anyway… it’s not ez to catch prawns lar…. need to have the correct ‘feeling’ and technique.. so after much observing, asking and experimenting… i got the trick!!! hehehe…. :blush1 and we extended another 3hrs…. so… in total.. we paid like $52 for our prawning trip! expensive! BUT it’s an experience! and i learnt tt BH isnt tt patient after all! haha..

well…. for first-timers like us… today’s catch was extremely good…. hahaha…. iyah…. i shall not disclosed who caught the most prawns.. wahaha.. of corrs.. it’s……… :zip1 i promise BH i won’t malu him us… :tongue1 haha

juz wanna end off by saying tt i had lots of fun today… and i wanna go prawn fishing again!!!! :wink1 it’s so exciting!!!! haha…

have to go for polling rehearsal tml…. yes… i will be working on voting day! luckily the place is very near my house… and the pay is…. delicious… it’s worth it!!! like… i can go Taipei buy more clothes and bags and shoes??? or book another air tix to BKK! wahahaha.. :tongue1

let’s see… my exam eneded on 27April (thu) right after exam, went to PSR chalet with papaya they all… man…. and i survived 1 night with them.. and papaya is really a spoilt brat lor! it’s like we go chalet… so after dinner, which we ordered KFC and Pizza, we decided to go tk a walk at PSR park… oh my goodness… she was like complaining abt the mosquitos… and the distance…. coz we were walking to fishermen’s village… in the end, the bf drove and picked all of us up at fishermen’s village and drove us back to the chalet…. :psycho1

to tell u the truth, she loves to sajiao to the bf in front of all of us lor! i cannot tk it.. BUT i juz ‘ren’ and kept quiet… coz… afterall… maybe i’m juz jealous coz i dun have such a bf lar…. okok… correction.. or not yet…

haha… but to think of it.. if i am that lazy….. i wld properly get the car from my bf and drive myself ard… geeez… if he dun lend me the car means he dun love/trust me enuff… haha… if he got no car????? then he better give me money lor!!!! wahahaha… the pt is…. i no need a guy to chauffeur me lar! so spoilt can…. luckily it was juz for a night…

i wonder how come the bf can tolerate her lor… right… tt’s y i say BH is the LUCKIEST guy in the whole world liaoz lor…. the gf can drive him ard… gf pleasant looking and capable somemore…. he really damn heng lor…. wahaha ….considering he’s not rich or good looking.. self-praise is international disgrace.. wahahaha.. joking lar…

so we booked out on 28April (fri)after a long night together…. watching DVD and playing XBOX… man… came home with a headache… and the headache was only gone on the next day…

29April(sat) met BH… coz he finished his exams too! so we went to town walk walk….. and he was so onz bt shopping…. so he bought a pair of jeans…. right… if u havent alr knew.. BH loves shopping more than me… haha.. so.. most of the time… he buys more stuff than me lor! and we signed up for the BIG WALK on 21May!!! fun walkers lar…. heeez.. anyone going too???? why is amanda going??? can win car lor!!! hahaha.. go lar.. then we can gossip for 10KM!! haha

30April (sun) , my sis, BH and i met up to go cycling at ECP… man… i can’t cycle lor…. so BH had to ferry me… *those 2 person bike* wahahaha… he was damn shag lor….BUT i cycled also mah! haha.. so we cycled till the other end of ECP.. which i have nv been to… hehehe… we all had fun… yar.. so it’s like team-bonding for the upcoming taipei trip…. anyway, it’s like the 1st time BH and i went cycling can! hahaha… after so long.. i was very scared tt BH not steady lor… bang into the tree or what… argh… coz i dun wanna to suffer any brusies or scars on my knee or face lar! hahaha…. very vain right! heee.. luckily nothing happened lor…. somehow… it feels like the 1st time i really needed to trust him..

we went for the WP rally at hougang too… haha… happening man… but kinda boring at the same time too… hahaha…. if u guys are thinking of going for rally at the open field of hougang, pls wear shoes and long pants… else u’ll be food for the mosquitos!!!

one more thing, if u r going overseas, u may wanna consider getting the ntuc income travel insurance, it’s on discount too!! (it’s always on discount.. and it’s the cheapest tt i’ve seen so far :wink1)

and you noe wat!!! right after we booked out taipei flight… the airport taxes went down by $2!!!! argh!!!! i wld have saved $2 if i booked 1 day later… heee

yeah!! saw our plans for the month of may on BH entry.. and i’m looking forward!!!
