Hi everyone! I am finally back! Wahaha\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 our domain expired.. so BH juz got our site back a few days ago\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6yes\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 and our domain always expires right after we come back from holiday\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 haha\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 if u can rem tt fakedevil was missing 2 yrs back? It was ard this time too.. ;p<\/p>\n

So\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 how\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my Taipei trip? Oh well.. generally\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 OK.. juz that it cld be better\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 yeah\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 the 3 of us felt this way\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s analyse our trip on a day by day basis.<\/p>\n

10 May 2006 (Wed)<\/strong><\/p>\n

All of us woke up bright and cheery and went to the airport!
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

BH thought he look good lor\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 This was how he looked
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

We checked in early and went to jalanX2 in T2.. then my sis and BH decided tt they wanted to try out the i-squeeze
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

After which\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 we walked ard and kinda forgot the time\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 until we realized that our flight was the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcLAST CALL\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 .. haha.. then we quickly rushed towards the gate.<\/p>\n

Our flight was extremely empty\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so empty that each of us cld help ourselves to any of the seats lor\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. So in the end, we had a window seat each.<\/p>\n

This was what we ate on the plane.

They even gave us a magnum ice-cream each!!

Finally, we touched down in Taipei at 5pm.. which was 20min earlier!<\/p>\n

We went to look for the Freego Bus. Found the tix booth easily.. however, as our hotel was extremely new\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 nobody knew which station shld we stop at\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.. we took the freego bus to town\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 then took a cab to XiMenDing (XMD)<\/p>\n

Right\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so we are at XMD BUT we can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t find our hotel\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. So.. we were like walking ard with our luggage ard XMD\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so paiseh.. it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s juz like walking ard Orchard Rd in Singapore\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 and we were really tired\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so we were quite glad tt the locals are nice to tell us where our hotel was\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. And finally\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. We found it\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 at a dark, quiet alley\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.haha.. though quiet, less tourists.. it was cheap and near the MRT\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 <\/p>\n

Went to the hotel and we were greeted by the friendly receptionist and the lady Boss.. still nvm\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 we received a FREE UPGRADE to BIGGER rooms with no additional cost! Wah! How nice! I mean\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 my sis and I had a room with a nice little japo corner, which we cld sit down and sip tea lor\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. Iyah\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. How to tell u\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 anyway, our rooms were v spacious\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 BH\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s single room became a room with a queen size bed lor! <\/p>\n

Anyway, the hotel provides toothbrush, shampoo, soap and above all.. CONDOMS! Wahaha\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 how interesting! No lar.. the hotel was not a sleazy place\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 really nice and cosy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 I wld recommend budget travelers to stay there\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 and not be bought over by more popular hotels like Stars Hotel and Rainbow Hotel.<\/p>\n

After we put down our stuff\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 we went to XMD mrt and made our way to Miramar Entertainment Centre where there was a huge Ferries Wheel, which is the second biggest in Asia. Rem the Lee Hom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s – Kiss Goodbye MTV? I think it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s taken on this ferries wheel. How to tell u\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 everything is like Japan \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 coz Tokyo have got this huge ferries wheel too!

(it is v stuffy in the ferries wheel\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 and I dun find the view breath-taking\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 juz the experience\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6I mean if it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not for my sis, I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think I will go for this..)<\/p>\n

We went for dinner at Shilin after Miramar. Our 1st meal was this\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 some steamboat thing\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.

Not v nice\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 BUT we were extremely hungry\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 man.. and there was a truck parked outside this place\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 with dead PIGS hanging upside down\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 with blood dripping down\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6gross\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so gross that we (my sis & I) felt like vomiting after looking at it\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 so disgusted tt I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t tk out my camera to tk a picture of it..<\/p>\n

After which, we walked ard in Shilin NM\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 not much things already.. coz it was a weekday\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. We took cab back to hotel\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6. And ended our day at 1am? Haha\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 tired..<\/p>\n

11 May 2006 (Thu)<\/strong><\/p>\n

this is a super packed day!<\/p>\n

had a simple breakfast at our hotel then went to the Taipei Intercity Bus Terminal to tk a bus to Yeliu. the weather was cooling… which was bad.. coz it started to pour after that… so it was raining for the whole day!! damn sianz…<\/p>\n

so… going to Yeliu<\/strong> was easy…. and Yeliu is where u go to see the rocks… oh well… i wld think that it’s the oriental 12 Apostles… haha.. it’s extremely cold there…

and along yeliu… there’s lots of fresh seafood!!
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

after Yeliu… we went to Keelung<\/strong>, where we had lunch at MiaoKuo Food street… food here was really delicious and cheap! <\/p>\n

after which, we made our way to Jiufen… which was still raining…. sianz…
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

bought some local products like sour plums.. and hand-made muah chee… which we thought was very nice and it needs to be refrigerated.. the packaging looks like tt… go buy it if u go to taipei!!!

then we head off to tk a cab to Rui Fang<\/strong> Railway Station to tk a train back to Taipei.<\/p>\n

if u thnk our day ended? think again… wahaha… we went to Danshui… to see the fisherman’s wharf.. where i met………

haha… we were so hungry tt we ate sucky food for dinner… no choice…. nothing else to eat…. the noodles were v oily… it was cheap lar…

after which.. we took a bus back to hotel… too tired to do anything liaoz…<\/p>\n
